Simon J. Blattner (Buddy) In July 2003, Simon "Buddy" Blattner joined Active Screw & Fastener as President. On December 1, 2005, he also added the responsibilities as CEO. For the last three years, Buddy has served on the Board of Directors of the National Fastener Distributors Association, currently serving as Treasurer. Buddy is a founding member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Chicago based Pediatric AIDS Prevention Initiative, whose mission is to eradicate pediatric AIDS in Chicago within five years. Buddy is also on the Board of Directors and Treasurer of Tucson based Child and Family Resources, a not for Profit whose mission is to make children’s lives better. Buddy received his MBA in Finance from DePaul University and his BA from the University of California, Los Angeles. He lives with his wife in Glenview, IL and Tucson, AZ.

Michael Sarnicki (Mike) In May 2010 Mike Sarnicki joined Active Screw & Fastener as Vice President, Sales. He has over 20 years of sales and management experience in the fastener industry. His last position was Branch Operations Manager for Supply Technologies where he was responsible for sales, profit & loss and overall operations of the Minneapolis, Minnesota branch which generated annual revenues in excess of $50 million. Prior to that position, Mike was General Sales Manager at Supply Technologies and managed all outside sales for 5 western states branches which generated annual revenues in excess of $100 million.

Prior to joining Supply Technologies Mike held several positions at Distribution Dynamics Inc. located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, these included Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Purchasing, Branch Manager and Account Manager.

During the 1980’s Mike worked as a Manufacturer’s Representative for Lewis Screw, Champion Screw and Southern Screw. In 1988 Mike was named Southern Screw’s “Salesman of the Year”.

Mike graduated from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul Minnesota with a B.A. degree in Economics and Business Administration. Mike has 2 grown sons (Nick and Tony) and lives with his wife (Paula) in Scottsdale, Arizona

Douglas L. Lozier (Doug) In October 2002, Douglas L. Lozier joined Active Screw & Fastener as National Distribution Manager responsible for warehousing and distribution at all of Active Screw & Fastener’s locations. In January 2003 Doug was promoted to Director of Operations and now has the additional areas of quality, sourcing, purchasing plus new product introduction included within his responsibilities. Doug’s background consists of 25 years managing manufacturing and service operations in the United States and Mexico. He is bilingual in Spanish and served five years on the Board of Directors of the Maquiladora Association of Sonora (Mexico assembly companies) along with three years as Co-chairman of their Education Committee which coordinated fund-raising and awarded scholarships to students on both sides of the border. Doug is from Indiana and currently lives in Sahuarita, Arizona year round with his wife and two sons who are all active in BSA (Boy Scouts of America) and GVJGA (Green Valley Junior Golf Association).
